The above chart is a direct link to the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) National Weather Service (NWS) Regions. This is the agency that runs NOAA Weather Radio and is responsible for the activation of the nation's Emergency Warning System (now the EAS - Emergency Alert System). To find out if emergency bulletins have been issued for your area, select the national region that you are located in from the above table. Then from the Regional NWS Home Page you will select your closest major city. After these two selections (clicks) you will be at the home page for the National Weather Service Center headquarters in your area. Most regions have a selection for "Severe Weather" near the top left of the page. This will take you to the official bulletins that activate the national Emergency Alert System. On this "bulletins" page you can select TORNADO or THUNDERSTORM warnings and alerts.
