Web-a-dex Internet Services opened it's first prototype web site in August of 1999 as an extension of services and promotional tool for Silver Star Studio of San Antonio, Texas. Owner Michael Steenbergen formally filed Web-a-dex as a wholly owned subsidiary of Silver Star Study on December 1, 1999 at the Bexar County Court House in the County Clerk's Office as Record Number . The domain was already operational by that time, as it was included in a speculative purchase made by Silver Star Studio in September. Newspaper Ads began immediately in San Antonio and Austinin anticipation of the holiday interest in the internet.
