Thanks for inquiring about free internet access. The trend in the internet has been similar to what occurred in broadcast television media. Commercial sponsor supported programming (Access) and production (The Net) has evolved. There are no tricks. For about 10% to 25% of your viewing monitor space you can have access through banner portals like Net Zero and Alta Vista. You sign on for free but always see the banner of your internet access provider or their sponsors. Lycos is one of the large internet companies that has recently added the free access service. While we have not reviewed this particular company's access, we are very satisfied with their other offerings, and highly recommend them. None of these companies requires financial information or credit cards of any kind. It is truly FREE access.
