Medium:
Colored pencil has always been Martinez's preferred medium on standard bond or sketch pad
paper. After dabbling with charcoal, Lupe returned to the pencils. |
Style:
In a personal interview years ago, Lupe revealed he always starts with a dot in the very
center of the page and builds out from there. The straight line is the tool of his
creativity revealing incredible symmetry and detail. |
